<li>Advises clients on cutting-edge issues related to the collection, use, sharing, transferring securing and safeguarding of personal information and data. Experienced in U.S. and international privacy and data protection laws, incident response, cyber risk, and information lifecycle.</li>
<li>Advises clients on building privacy protections into their business practices, including connected products and services (Internet of Things), cloud-based and mobile services, and social media initiatives, and on managing the related “Big Data” implications.</li>
<li>Assists clients in evaluating and managing privacy risks in connection with strategic technology transactions, cyber incident response, IT outsourcing, and M&amp;A due diligence.</li>
<li>Lead privacy and data counsel to publicly traded mining company, providing counsel on the development and execution of enterprise wide data strategy and technology transactions.</li>
<li>Lead technology counsel on $35 million front-of-the-house, timekeeping, HR and back office cloud services acquisition for national private equity-backed restaurant franchise company.</li>
<li>Developed and implemented numerous complex data transfers for large multinational corporations subject to data protection restrictions in connection with ongoing U.S. proceedings. Handled legal and technical aspects to ensure cost savings and a legally defensible process.</li>
<li>Member of the team that represented a major European post-trade services provider in litigation relating to efforts to recover on a default judgment against a foreign government. Handled discovery, technology and data protection issues.</li>
<li>Provided discovery and data privacy advice to multiple international entities in connection with criminal and civil investigations led by the U.S. Department of Justice.</li>
<li>Advised local and foreign clients regarding data, discovery and privacy considerations in connection with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and U.S. Department of Justice investigations into Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations.</li>
