<li>Represented oil and gas client in mediation that resulted in the resolution of a multiparty commercial dispute involving state and federal claims of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and self-dealing.</li>
<li>Lead associate for a large paint company in a two-week trial in which the plaintiff alleged breach of contract and client asserted counter-claims. Assisted lead counsel with opening and closing, preparing expert and fact witnesses and numerous other trial-related tasks.</li>
<li>Obtained a settlement and agreed judgment for construction client on its breach of contract claims.</li>
<li>Represented client in mediation resolving disclosure of personal health information claim.</li>
<li>Obtained early dismissal of employment discrimination claims in a federal proceeding through dispositive motion practice.</li>
<li>Regularly represents clients in connection with breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, self-dealing, fraud and other business-related disputes.</li>

<li>Experienced in navigating various construction law issues, such as lien and surety requirements, waiver provisions, contract breaches and insurance compliance, across multiple jurisdictions for telecommunication contracts.</li>

Bankruptcy
<ul>
<li>As a member of the BakerHostetler team serving as counsel to the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (BLMIS), represents client in avoidance actions against hedge funds and banks that invested in BLMIS through feeder funds by developing solutions to constitutional and international law issues, drafting complaints and briefs and conducting legal research.</li>
<li>Successfully defended against attempts by several defendants to use bankruptcy court to delay state court proceedings, allowing client to continue litigating its state court claims resulting in a beneficial settlement.</li>
