<li>Represented the owners of an industrial center as the lead real estate attorney in the sale of an integrated industrial complex located on over 500 acres in Marion County, Ohio, with over 1.5 million square feet of leased warehouse space in an approximately $42 million transaction (of which the real estate was $35.5 million).</li>
<li>Represented an American national hamburger restaurant chain on several ground lease transactions for new locations in Arizona and Florida, including serving as lead counsel in the negotiation of the ground lease and related due diligence matters, including title and survey reviews. Also advised the client on a number of one-off lease, and purchase and sale-related matters for restaurant sites in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky.</li>
<li>Served as exclusive real estate and leasing counsel for a fast-casual restaurant chain for more than 12 years, handling all of its commercial leasing transactions and real estate acquisitions for its restaurants throughout the Midwest, Southwest and Southeast.</li>
<li>Represented a company that provides airfield lighting solutions and services on several real estate matters, including (i) a Build-to-Suit Lease for the construction of its North American headquarters in Gahanna, Ohio, containing approximately 179,000 square feet of warehouse and office space at a project cost of over $25 million; and (ii) the subsequent sale of its former headquarters for $4.35 million.</li>
<li>Commercial real estate leasing experience includes representing landlords and tenants in a variety of lease transactions, including restaurant, retail, office, industrial, ground lease, cell tower leasing, solar leases, EV charging station leases and subleasing transactions, with a particular focus on tenant-sided restaurant and retail leasing.</li>
<li>Represented a commercial healthcare laundry as outside general counsel for more than 20 years.</li>
<li>Served as outside counsel representing a large supermarket chain in two cell tower portfolio asset sales: (i) a 2023 sale of nine sites in Colorado, Kentucky, Washington, Arizona, Michigan and Utah for over $5 million; and (ii) a 2024 sale of 18 sites in Colorado, Alaska, California, Utah, New Mexico and Missouri for $6.8 million.</li>
<li>Represented various landowners in a variety of cell tower leasing transactions and wireless telecommunication lease sale transactions, including in Ohio, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Oregon.</li>
<li>Served as lead real estate counsel for a franchisee of a global furniture store chain in the sale of six stores and a distribution center in Ohio for approximately $19 million.</li>
<li>Represented a family trust selling 100 acres in Plain City, Ohio for $7.3 million to one of the country&#8217;s largest IT companies for development of a data center.</li>
<li>Served as Ohio local counsel to an international law firm and a national sporting goods store chain for two Ohio real estate purchases by the chain.</li>
<li>Served as lead real estate counsel representing the purchaser in the acquisition of a retail furniture business in West Virginia with four retail locations and a distribution center for $37.2 million (of which the real estate was $16.2 million).</li>
<li>Represented companies and individuals before various Boards of Revision with respect to real estate valuation and exemption cases and corresponding appeal proceedings before the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals.</li>
<li>Represented the buyer in the purchase of a car dealership in central Ohio and primarily served as lead real estate counsel on the purchase of the real estate.</li>
<li>Represented a global franchisor of pet stores in the acquisition of a longstanding veterinary practice in Chillicothe, Ohio, and served as lead counsel on the acquisition of the real estate.</li>
<li>Represented the seller of a 50-acre automobile salvage yard in Columbus, Ohio, for $10 million to a developer for redevelopment into residential use.</li>
<li>Served as lead real estate counsel in the sale by a 166-year-old funeral home operator and cremation service provider with 12 locations in central Ohio to one of the nation’s largest operators of funeral homes.</li>
<li>Served as lead real estate counsel to a national distributor of building material in its acquisition of a major wholesale distributor of building and construction-related products in the southeastern U.S.</li>
<li>Represented a prominent local family in its acquisition of real estate in central Ohio for investment, including (i) a retail strip center in New Albany, Ohio; and (ii) a triple net leased property operated as a pet boarding business.</li>
<li>Represented a national self-storage developer and investor in the acquisition of a nine-acre former department store property in Marion, Ohio, for redevelopment into a self-storage facility, including representation on an approximately $5 million construction loan facility.</li>
