Jeff represents clients through all stages of patent litigation, from presenting the opening statement and handling the direct and cross examination of experts at trial to pre-suit due diligence. Jeff has drafted and argued numerous motions, including claim construction and summary judgment, drafted post-trial briefs&nbsp;and assisted with inter partes review proceedings. Utilizing his strong writing skills and communicative approach, he works closely with clients to draft pleadings, discovery requests&nbsp;and various motions and briefs that align with their strategic goals. Jeff has handled litigation involving a variety of technologies, including software, medical devices, child safety products, construction materials&nbsp;and pharmaceuticals.

Jeff also has experience litigating before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), leveraging his broad district court experience to help clients protect their intellectual property or protect their business against competitor’s marks.

Jeff is a Delaware-barred attorney and advises clients on a variety of issues specific to litigating in Delaware. He regularly appears in Delaware’s renowned Court of Chancery, and was part of a team of Baker attorneys that successfully defeated a motion for temporary restraining order in that court. Jeff also practices in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, one of the busiest bankruptcy courts in the country. Jeff’s bankruptcy work includes general bankruptcy assignments, substantive research and drafting&nbsp;and assisting with filings and document reviews.

<li>Participated as a member of a trial team representing a defendant in the District of Delaware, including drafting the pre-trial order, giving the opening statement and directing and crossing the technical experts. The team obtained a judgment as a matter of law of no willful infringement.</li>
<li>As a member of a patent litigation team, represented a client in district court and at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, filing a petition for inter partes review and obtaining a favorable global settlement.</li>
<li>As part of a patent litigation team, represented multiple defendants, including a Fortune 500 technology company, that obtained dismissal of four software patents on a motion to dismiss on Section 101 grounds.</li>
<li>Served as a member of a patent litigation team that represented a large pharmaceutical company in multiple related Hatch-Waxman litigations. The team obtained a favorable global settlement for the client.</li>
