With extensive international experience in business operations, consulting and accounting, James “Chip” Cottrell brings an in-depth knowledge and practical awareness to his role as Senior Advisor, Global Fraud and International Asset Training. His background includes organizational transitions, waste and abuse investigations, fraud and asset reallocation and recovery in a wide range of industries, including global manufacturing, aerospace and defense, energy, technology, transportation and public sector entities. Most recently, he has focused on regulatory, compliance and governance issues related to cyberthreats and security, data analytics, artificial intelligence and cloud computing.

Chip has also served in various capacities and industries for remediation and monitorship arrangements in regulatory and other matters, specifically in designing, implementing and monitoring compliance operations, government and regulatory consent agreements and related activities around the world. Building on his background as an auditor and forensic accountant, he held C-suite executive and other leadership positions at several notable global technology companies and the world's largest professional services organization.

A thought leader in risk management, corporate governance, ethics and compliance, Chip is a frequent lecturer around the world, both academically and in the board room. He is also on the staff of Stockholm University and serves as a senior advisor on ethics and integrity matters for a wide range of international organizations. Chip is a certified public accountant in the U.S. and China, a chartered accountant in the U.K. and a chartered global management accountant.
