Alexis Beachdell is a Chambers ranked bankruptcy, restructuring, distressed debt finance and distressed transactions attorney who counsels clients nationwide on all aspects of distressed and insolvency-related situations. She represents debtors and borrowers, secured lenders and lender groups, unsecured creditors and unsecured creditor committees, trustees and liquidating trusts, receivers, independent directors, buyers and sellers of distressed assets, and distressed or insolvent nonprofit entities.
Alexis’s depth of experience includes representing clients in all manner of in-court and out-of-court insolvency proceedings, including representing clients in chapter 11, chapter 7 and subchapter V bankruptcy cases, federal and state court insolvency-related litigation (including fraudulent transfer and breach of fiduciary duty litigation), state court receiverships, UCC Article 9 transactions, assignment for the benefit of creditor (ABC) transactions, distressed debt finance transactions and distressed sale transactions. She also frequently partners with clients to proactively develop global restructuring plans or mitigate exposure to insolvent and distressed counterparties.
Alexis takes a creative and solution-oriented approach to solving problems and resolving disputes. She approaches every matter first with an eye toward understanding her clients’ strategic goals and then working closely with her clients to develop a practical strategy that achieves those goals.
In addition to her client service achievements, Alexis is co-chair of the firmwide Women’s Committee.
