President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees are continuing <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/5027694-ernst-hegseth-to-resume-meetings-next-week/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">meetings</a> with senators as they seek their votes for confirmation.

The House will hold floor <a href="https://www.majorityleader.gov/schedule/weekly-schedule.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">votes</a> tomorrow through Thursday, taking up the annual <a href="https://armedservices.house.gov/ndaa/fy25-ndaa-resources.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">National Defense Authorization Act</a>.

House <a href="https://punchbowl.news/article/house/kentucky-missouri-look-for-house-gavel-dominance/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Republicans</a> and <a href="https://rollcall.com/2024/12/05/seniority-shakeup-house-democrats-test-committee-norms/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Democrats</a> will choose their committee leaders for the 119th Congress.

Tomorrow, the Oversight and Accountability Committee will hold an oversight <a href="https://oversight.house.gov/hearing/oversight-of-the-u-s-postal-service/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hearing</a> with Postmaster General Louis DeJoy.

The Senate will be in <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/floor_activity_pail.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">session</a> today through Thursday, continuing votes to confirm Biden’s judicial nominees.

Wednesday, the Banking Committee will hold a <a href="https://www.banking.senate.gov/hearings/consumer-protection-protecting-workers-money-and-fighting-for-the-dignity-of-work" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hearing</a> on consumer protection with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Rohit Chopra.

Also Wednesday, the Commerce Subcommittee on Communications, Media and Broadband will hold a <a href="https://www.commerce.senate.gov/2024/12/communications-networks-safety-and-security" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hearing</a> on network security.

Biden will speak this afternoon at a <a href="https://www.bia.gov/tns/2024" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tribal Nations Summit</a> at the Interior Department then <a href="https://punchbowl.news/archive/12924-am/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">host</a> a Holiday Ball this evening at the White House for members of Congress.

Tomorrow, he will <a href="https://www.forth.news/whpool/675652d07021b8e0b82487ef" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">speak</a> at a Christmas for All Dinner in celebration of Unity, America, and Special Olympics.

Biden will participate in a virtual G7 meeting on Friday.
