President Joe Biden will travel to New England for campaign events, and will host President William Ruto of Kenya at the White House.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken will appear at four separate hearings across both chambers.

The Senate will again vote on bipartisan border security legislation that previously failed, before both chambers depart for Memorial Day recess.

The House will hold floor votes tomorrow through Thursday, including on <a href="https://financialservices.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=409251" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">legislation</a> to regulate digital financial assets.

Blinken is scheduled to testify Wednesday morning at the <a href="https://appropriations.house.gov/events/hearings/budget-hearing-fiscal-year-2025-request-department-state" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Appropriations</a> Subcommittee that funds his department, followed by an appearance at the <a href="https://foreignaffairs.house.gov/hearing/the-state-of-american-diplomacy-in-2024-global-instability-budget-challenges-and-great-power-competition/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Foreign Affairs</a> Committee that afternoon.

Also Wednesday, the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology will <a href="https://energycommerce.house.gov/posts/bipartisan-energy-and-commerce-leaders-announce-legislative-hearing-on-sunsetting-section-230" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">discuss</a> the bipartisan committee leaders’ proposal to sunset Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.

The Senate is scheduled to be in <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/floor_activity_pail.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">session</a> tonight through Thursday, voting again on bipartisan border security legislation that did not pass earlier this year – and is likely <a href="https://punchbowl.news/archive/52024-punchbowl-news-am/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">doomed</a> to fail again.

Blinken has a Senate doubleheader Tuesday, with the <a href="https://www.foreign.senate.gov/hearings/american-diplomacy-and-global-leadership-review-of-the-fy25-state-department-budget-request">Forei</a><a href="https://www.foreign.senate.gov/hearings/american-diplomacy-and-global-leadership-review-of-the-fy25-state-department-budget-request" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">g</a><a href="https://www.foreign.senate.gov/hearings/american-diplomacy-and-global-leadership-review-of-the-fy25-state-department-budget-request">n Relations</a> Committee in the morning and the <a href="https://www.appropriations.senate.gov/hearings/a-review-of-the-presidents-fiscal-year-2025-budget-request-for-the-us-department-of-state" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Appropriations</a> Subcommittee in the afternoon.

A busy week in the Finance Committee includes hearings on <a href="https://www.finance.senate.gov/hearings/child-savings-accounts-and-other-tax-advantaged-accounts-benefiting-american-children" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">child savings accounts</a>, <a href="https://www.finance.senate.gov/hearings/examining-trade-enforcement-and-entry-of-merchandise-at-us-ports" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">trade enforcement</a> at ports, the <a href="https://www.finance.senate.gov/hearings/the-family-first-prevention-services-act-successes-roadblocks-and-opportunities-for-improvement" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Family First Prevention Services Act</a>, and the <a href="https://www.finance.senate.gov/hearings/front-lines-of-the-fentanyl-crisis-supporting-communities-and-combating-addiction-through-prevention-and-treatment" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">fentanyl crisis</a>.

Biden this evening will celebrate <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2024/04/30/a-proclamation-on-jewish-american-heritage-month-2024/#:~:text=NOW%2C%20THEREFORE%2C%20I%2C%20JOSEPH,as%20Jewish%20American%20Heritage%20Month." target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Jewish American Heritage Month</a> at the White House.

Tomorrow, the president will campaign in <a href="https://www.bostonglobe.com/2024/05/17/metro/biden-visit-new-hampshire-boston/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">New England</a>.

The rest of the <a href="https://www.forth.news/whpool/664a71bb019fc74f70459496" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">week</a>, he will host the <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2024/02/16/statement-from-press-secretary-karine-jean-pierre-on-the-state-visit-of-president-william-ruto-and-first-lady-rachel-ruto-of-kenya/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kenyan</a> president for meetings and a state dinner at the White House.
