Partner Derek Bauer is quoted in a Nov. 17 Daily Report article titled “Eleventh-Hour Hearing Fails to Check Provisional Medical Marijuana Production Licenses.”

According to the article, “Courthouse drama engulfed the Georgia Access to Medical Cannabis Commission (GMCC)’s decision to award provisional contracts to winning bidders, while litigation filed by losing companies to delay the awarding of those contracts continues in trial court.”

BakerHostetler represents Fine Fettle, whose bid for a Class 2 provisional license was accepted by the commission. While companies who failed in their bids continue to protest, Bauer says that litigation is “very much trending towards resolutions of all of the protests in favor of the Class 2 winners.”
