Eric Lee joins BakerHostetler in the Washington* office as a partner in the <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/services/intellectual-property/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Intellectual Property Practice Group</a> and a member of the <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/services/intellectual-property/trademark-and-copyright/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Trademark and Copyright</a> team.

Lee comes from an Am Law 50 firm and concentrates on trademark, trade dress, advertising and copyright matters for international and emerging brands in numerous industries.

He is also skilled at guiding clients through the world of artificial intelligence and its strong connection to IP rights.

Lee brings his substantial practice for global clients to BakerHostetler and is the latest addition to the firm’s national Intellectual Property Practice Group, as his arrival follows that of accomplished IP attorney Susan Kayser, who also recently <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/insights/bakerhostetler-kicks-off-2025-with-addition-of-intellectual-property-partner-in-washington-and-two-labor-and-employment-partners-in-chicago/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">joined</a> as a partner in the Washington office.

“Eric is a skilled litigator and counselor with a diverse practice in a wide variety of industries,” said <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/professionals/mark-h-tidman/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mark Tidman</a>, firmwide chair of the IP Practice Group. “He has also embraced the increasing intersection of artificial intelligence and intellectual property, which our clients will truly benefit from when it comes to compliance policies and vendor agreements. Eric is a valuable addition to the IP Practice Group.”

Lee focuses his practice on trademark and copyright litigation, as well as complex intellectual property disputes. He regularly advises clients on developing and strengthening their intellectual property portfolios, including creating, protecting and leveraging trademarks and copyrights. With extensive experience in trademark clearance, prosecution, licensing and enforcement, Lee helps clients safeguard their brands and manage global trademark portfolios.

Lee works with clients across a range of industries, including e-commerce, fashion, music, travel, software, medical devices and pharmaceuticals. His practice also includes guiding companies through branding strategies, enforcement programs and due diligence for intellectual property matters.

Lee received his J.D. from Boston College Law School and his B.A. from Bowdoin College.
