Partner Andreas Kaltsounis commented on the dismissal of some of the charges brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission against SolarWinds in an <em>Agenda</em> article titled “No ‘Sighs of Relief’ for CISOs After SolarWinds Charges Tossed.” Published August 12, 2024, the article explains that, while a federal court dismissed a batch of charges against the company and its chief information security officer for their handling of a ransomware attack, they could still be held liable for misleading statements made before the attack. SolarWinds is a developer of software to help businesses manage their networks, systems and information technology infrastructure.
