Senator Cory Booker built a national profile during his two terms as mayor of Newark, New Jersey’s largest city, before winning a special election to the U.S. Senate in 2013. Now in his second full term, he serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee, where he plays a leading role on criminal justice reform as a champion of the 2018 First Step Act. He is also a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, the Environment and Public Works Committee, and the Small Business Committee.

In 2019, BakerHostetler hosted its 30th annual Legislative Seminar, widely considered Washington’s premier annual showcase on legislative policy. COVID-19 forced the cancellation of our in-person event in 2020.

We are back in 2021 – but with a twist. Rather than a one-day, in-person event in Washington, this year’s Legislative Seminar will be a series of virtual discussions with members of Congress scheduled over the coming weeks this spring and summer. You will hear firsthand from Democrats and Republicans, House members and senators, regarding developments in tax, infrastructure, healthcare, trade, energy policy and more.
