Please join former Congressman Mike Ferguson, leader of BakerHostetler’s Federal Policy team, and former Congressman Heath Shuler, Senior Advisor on the Federal Policy team, for the next virtual discussion in our annual bipartisan Legislative Seminar Series. This session will feature Congressman Bill Huizenga, R-Mich.

Congressman Huizenga is the ranking Republican on the House Financial Services subcommittee that oversees capital markets and investor protection. As a leader on the Financial Services Committee, he has focused on removing barriers to private-sector job creation and on increasing transparency across the federal government. First elected in 2010, Congressman Huizenga is a former congressional staffer, a Realtor and an entrepreneur, and also a former member of the Michigan Legislature.

Our virtual discussion with Congressman Huizenga begins at 3 p.m. EDT on June 16.

In 2019, BakerHostetler hosted its 30th annual Legislative Seminar, widely considered Washington’s premier annual showcase on legislative policy. COVID-19 forced the cancellation of our in-person event in 2020.

We are back in 2021 – but with a twist. Rather than a one-day, in-person event in Washington, this year’s Legislative Seminar will be a series of virtual discussions with members of Congress scheduled over the coming weeks this spring and summer. You will hear firsthand from Democrats and Republicans, House members and senators, regarding developments in tax, infrastructure, healthcare, trade, energy policy and more.

We’ll be announcing additional members of Congress who will be our guests in the coming weeks.
