The BakerHostetler Summer Associate Program in Washington, D.C. offers a 10-week unparalleled opportunity for law school students to immerse themselves in the vibrant legal landscape of the nation's capital. Tailored to provide a comprehensive and enriching experience, our program is designed to equip participants with the skills, knowledge and insights necessary to thrive in their legal careers.
One of the hallmarks of our program is the hands-on experience it offers. Summer associates work on substantive assignments across a wide range of practice areas, allowing them to explore their interests and develop a well-rounded skill set. Our lawyers are very active in federal and state courts in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Summer associates are encouraged to attend depositions, hearings and trials with lawyers practicing in these jurisdictions. We also have a vibrant legislative practice, and summer associates frequently monitor or attend congressional hearings.
